The Machine Learning Life Cycle

Synopsis:

In this presentation we will discuss the present state of machine learning and artificial intelligence and Bill will introduce DataRobot, the world most advanced automated machine learning platform. We will then build some models in DataRobot, evaluate them, and show how they can used in practical business applications.  A brief outline is as follows:

  1. I. Basic Introduction to Machine Learning and AI

    III. Evaluate Predictive Models
    IV. Use Predictive Models

Speaker Bio:
Bill Garvert is a Customer Facing Data Scientist at DataRobot based out of Dallas, Texas and covers the TOLA area (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas).  He has practiced data science for the last 10 years in many different industries, including airlines, energy and healthcare.  He has a masters in statistics from George Mason University and a Bachelor's in economics from the University of Virginia. In his free time he enjoys learning about new technologies and cooking.
