Description

This interactive presentation explores where good business analysis methods can decrease the risk of adverse outcomes associated with business change (i.e. project failure, more budget/resources required to complete projects, solution quality concerns).  This will involve discussion of project portfolios and discuss some root causes where projects might be running into difficulty and how business analysis methods might reduce the risk of these causes.

The result will be the beginning of high level cost-benefit analysis, based on benchmarks, that you can use as the basis for a business case for an enterprise level business analysis discipline, integrating formative work being done by the IIBA around new Enterprise Business Analysis Core Competencies [EBACC].

Learning Objectives:

·         Understand Enterprise Business Analysis Concept

·         Learn how to leverage business case approach
·         Develop skills to work with PMOs to develop such case with cost benefit analysis
